One of the biggest games this year, Call of Duty: GHOSTS is on special at Target. This is genuinely a good bargain, at just $64 for a new release game, that price is pretty much unheard of. We’re used to new games being priced at US$60, but by the time Australian tax is added, it ends up closer to A$100.
If you don’t already have the game, or want to grab it for a friend’s Christmas present, you’ll need to be quick. The price will increase to $79 after offer ends on Wednesday 13 November.
Of course this game did arrive in the same month that the next generation consoles are being released, so the pricing reflects that. Internationally there are retailers offering an upgrade offer for just $10 to move from the Xbox 360 to Xbox One version or PS3 to PS4 version, unfortunately Target Australia doesn’t appear to be one of those retailers.
It’s available for $64 on either Xbox 360 or PS4 at http://shop.target.com.au/search?text=call+of+duty
Update
Thanks to a tip from @scullyau, it is possible to get the game even cheaper.. OzGameShop are selling it for A$60.99 and currently have free delivery. Nice. Obviously not as quick as going in-store, but if you only buy online, then that’s probably your best bet.
Leave a comment if you’ve seen it even cheaper.
