WHIZZ cleaning app lands $2 million in Series B Australian investors


    Australia has long had an issue with loosing startups to international marketplaces where they can attract investments far great than what’s available here. Thankfully things are changing and fast. The latest success story is mobile app and cleaning service Whizz which have secured $2 Million in a Series B funding round.

    A group of five high net worth Australian investors, which includes the CEOs of Goldman Sachs and Godfreys, have invested in WHIZZ cleaning app. The other investors are Tom Krulis CEO of Godfreys, Alex Waislitz, Chairman and Founder of Thorney Investment Group, Tony Gandel (Melbourne’s renowned Gandel family) and Allen Linz (Property Developer).

    The Series B round announcement comes just 6 months after the Australian owned and developed WHIZZ was launched, and only 1 month since the on-demand app was launched in the Apple App store.  The game-changing WHIZZ app lets you book an expertly trained and experienced cleaning professional ‘on-demand’, or for a later date.  In just four taps, the seamless 60-second booking process is complete and a cleaner trained in 5 star hotel cleaning is confirmed.

    The five investors were impressed by the company’s first 6 months in business, with figures of 50% month on month growth and 70% of first time users converting to become regular cleans.  National expansion will occur within 6 months, with a Melbourne rollout slated for November 2015.


    WHIZZ is the brainchild of CEO Mark Bernberg (Fiveplus and SkyFii), CMO Adam Abrams and Julian Tobias (both behind The Island, C Coconut Water).
