Starting @ US $149, Microsoft’s Wireless Racing Wheel dropped to US $129 a while back. Now it’s down to a much more acceptable US $99. Assuming these price cuts would be reflected all round the world, I jumped on to xbox.com.au to check out pricing here.
Nope no discount, not even for Christmas, still at the overpriced $199.95.
The Wireless Racing Wheel works with a number of racing titles I own:
Need For Speed: Pro Street
Forza Motorsport 2
Project Gotham Racing 3
Need for Speed Carbon
DiRT
I would love to get my hands on one, just not for $200. I’d snap one up for $100-$120, but for what it is, $200 is just to steep. Chances are those looking at the wheel have already laid down hundreds on racing games already.
Moving on from the price, now to availability. It’s been months since I’ve seen this official Microsoft Racing Wheel in stores, Target, Kmart, EB Games, even Harvey Norman all stock 3rd party wheels, but no sign of Microsoft’s.
From all reports the wheel is well regarded amongst those who have it.
