XBOX ONE gets its Aussie debut at PAX (Update: Not playable)

    XboxOne at PAZ

PAX Australia together with Microsoft announced today that the Xbox One will be shown for the first time in Australia during the show. Now if we take a second to look at the language being used ‘shown’ does not mean playable, so lets clear that up straight out of the gate. Get ready for some angry gamers as they get teased by seeing the device, but looks like it’ll be a show and tell. PAX Australia runs through 19th to 21st of July, still some months before the November release of the next gen console.

    Update
I have now confirmed that Xbox One will not be playable at PAX Australia, it is simply designed as a showcase, not as an opportunity to get hands-on with playable code.

Microsoft will be hosting three presentations throughout the duration of PAX in the Main Theatre where they will share their vision for the Xbox One and the future of gaming.

    • Friday 19th July 2013. 6:00pm – 7:00pm
    • Saturday 20th July 2013:  2:30pm – 3:30pm
    • Sunday 21st July 2013:  12:30pm – 1:30pm

Attendance is limited and will be on first come basis, so if you’re headed to PAX, better join the line early if you want to see it in action.
