Microsoft just announced their 2nd generation wearable, Microsoft Band 2. It has a brand new curved display with Gorilla Glass 3. The Band will have apps for Starbucks, Twitter, Facebook, Uber, Subway and more. It has the same 10 sensors from the first generation, but this time they’ve added an 11th sensor, a Barometer.
The biggest news is that Cortana, the digital voice assistant from Windows 10 will come to Band 2. This lets you interact with the device, including mail and calendar using your voice.
We don’t have any information on Australian or outside the US availability, but we do know the date and price for the US. The wait for Band 2 is a short one. The new Microsoft Band will be released on October 30th, pre-order starts today and will cost US$249.
