Ford’s murdered-out Ranger FX4 looks the business on or off-road

One of Ford Australia’s greatest legacies will be their success in designing the Ranger. To kick off 2017, they’re releasing a new bigger, bolder, meaner edition called the Ranger FX4, the first XLT based Special Edition for PX Ranger MkII. This murdered out Ranger looks the business, whether you’re planning on taking it off-road, or cruising down to Bunnings to pickup up a new ladder.

President and CEO, Ford Australia, Graeme Whickman says,

The Ranger FX4 makes a great pick-up even more extraordinary with its unique style and boldness, and that’s a difficult thing to do with a vehicle that has just won back-to-back Drive Best Ute awards in 2015 and 2016.

We developed the Ranger FX4 for our customers that are a bit bolder than most and make use of the towing and payload capabilities of the Ranger XLT.

In terms of pricing, the Ranger FX4 has a manufacturer’s list price starting at $58,915 for the manual and up to $61,115 for the automatic transmission. At just $3,500 over the XLT model, you’d be crazy not to pony up the extra cash.
