The iPhone 5S and 5C went on sale late last week and while only incremental, it doesn’t seem to worry consumers. Apple have set a new record for opening weekend sales of a new iPhone (kind of cheating with two), selling 9 Million units.
The last best selling model was last year’s iPhone 5 which again added incremental changes like a 5th row of icons. The announcement from Apple also announced another milestone for Cupertino, they now have more than 200 million devices running iOS7. That is an absolutely stunning update rate for software that was released just last week. While technically it’s optional, clearly Apple users are comfortable in updating their devices.
