It seems that while Microsoft advertised the first WP7 update (to improve updating) as ‘available’, it seems Australian owners of WP7 devices are still waiting. It might not be all bad, with reports the first WP7 update isn’t going exactly according to plan. Some users, particular Samsung Omnia 7 users are reporting that the update is bricking their devices.
Microsoft’s solution to the problem is to return the device for a replacement and is apparently ‘looking into’ the issue. Hopefully they get this issue sorted quickly and the ‘early March’ Nodo update to WP7 won’t be affected.
