Foxtel have released a new mobile app on iOS and Android which allows sports fans unprecedented access to their favourite sports in a single app. Want to see the latest news articles in the lead up to your favourite team’s big game? Not a problem. Want to see live scored of current matches and scores from historical events, not a problem.

The app allows you, encourages you to register and sign in with your own account to preserve your customisations. This means you can narrow the sports to a selection that is just your own. There’s everything from Formula 1 and V8 Supercars to AFL, NRL, Tennis and much, much more.

You will be inseparable from your new best friend as it entertains and informs, feeds your thirst for content and analysis from across 14 sports and over 140 competitions.

One of the nicer UI elements is the share facility in the top-right of any news article. Just tap the share icon and your options to share animate out for easy access to share to Facebook, Twitter etc. Many articles also contain videos that play in both portrait and if landscape, just rotate your device and the video will fill the screen.

FOX SPORTS’ CEO, Patrick Delany said:

“We’ve listened to sports fans and know there is a demand for an app that covers all the big sports.”

“With more than 4.5 million Australians who don’t just follow one sport but around three to four, the all-in-one FOX SPORTS App will be the ultimate destination for them to get all the information they want.”

FOX SPORTS Digital Subscribers will be able to access additional content including match replays and entertainment shows On Demand.

Overall the app is a slick, comprehensive app that is sure to be a favourite with any Aussie fan. The Foxtel Sports app is available now from the iOS App Store and Android Play.
