DJI officially launched the Osmo Pocket 3 today. The new portable camera offers content creators incredible capability in a form factor that fits in your pocket.
The versatile Osmo Pocket 3 features a powerful 1″ CMOS sensor to deliver the stunning visuals we’ve come to know (and expect) from DJI. You’ll not only get 4K quality at up to 120 frames per second but also a great capacity to shoot in vertical orientation for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels and more.
The device’s body features a 2″ touchscreen that shows you what the camera is seeing, including your own face as it rotates to a selfie mode. The rotating gimbal head keeps your footage nice and smooth, even when walking, running, hiking, riding and more. Thanks to 3-axis stability, the camera is stable, and you always feel in control of its smooth operation, controlled by a small joystick under your thumb.
If you want to record, just hit the record button, if you want to stop, then tap it again to end the clip, and is this simplicity that makes it incredibly approachable for all skill levels.
Where your filming requires vertical, there’s no complex setting screen to venture to, rather just flip the screen to the left and your view of the world changes to vertical. Tapping record now creates vertical videos and flipping back to landscape is just as easy.
Perhaps the most impressive surprise with the Osmo Pocket 3 is its microphone.. The DJI Mic 2 offers great wireless connectivity to the Pocket 3, while recording great audio when clipped to the shirt, of your subject and has a really slick transparenty design to the mic body. I can’t get enough of that design and would love to see more technology go with semi-transparent exteriors to allow a window into the technology inside.

Compact Design, Impressive Visuals
The Osmo Pocket 3 is uses specialised image quality optimisation and night shots bring low-light scenes to life with clarity and authentic colour. The camera will fine-tune the exposure for different skin tones to deliver a clear and glowing complexion in every frame.
For professional-level creations, the Osmo Pocket 3 offers 10-bit D-Log M and 10-bit HLG colour modes that record landscapes with remarkable detail, presenting accurate colours and vivid highlights.
With 10-bit D-Log M, you can explore up to one billion colours and experience rich detail in every shot, while 10-bit HLG HDR recording provides a higher dynamic range for stunning visuals on HDR-enabled equipment.
Intelligent Features
The Osmo Pocket 3 introduces a host of intelligent features to elevate your creative output.
Similar to DJI’s drones, the Osmo Pocket 3 offers ActiveTrack, this time version 6.0 which offers multiple follow modes, including Face Auto-Detect and Dynamic Framing, for cinematic-level footage.
The built-in three-mic array reduces wind noise and captures omnidirectional stereo sound, providing immersive audio.
DJI Mic 2 compatibility enables dual-person recording for vlogs, interviews, and live streams.
Glamour Effects 2.0 adds personalised beauty options, while Osmo Pocket 3’s automatic axis locks secure the gimbal in the storage position.
The Osmo Pocket 3 can be charged to 80% in just 16 minutes and when fully charged, it can record up to 116 minutes of 4K/60fps footage or up to 166 minutes of 1080p/24fps footage to its microSD slot.

Osmo Pocket 3 is a versatile creative tool that can adapt to any scenario, including live streaming in high-definition, and functioning as a webcam for online meetings and video chats. Its built-in timecode function streamlines post-production, ensuring that your footage syncs seamlessly between different cameras for pro-level editing and storytelling.
