Fully Charged Live will be Australia’s biggest EV event to date with up to 15,000 attendees

This weekend in Sydney will play host to the largest Electric Vehicle event to date. The 2-day event on March 11th and 12th is expected to attract between 12,000 and 15,000 attendees and will also include a focus on renewable energy for the home and businesses.

As Australia’s EV adoption starts to hit its stride (6.8% in Feb 23), the timing of Fully Charged Live couldn’t be better with more Australians choosing to go electric for their next vehicle purchase. The event will feature EVs from a wide variety of automakers.

ABB, a leader in fast-charging technology, has been the title sponsorship partner of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship Series since 2018. Fully Charged Live will provide visitors with the opportunity to see their first formula E car, as Australia has not yet secured a round in the global championship.

In addition to the car-related attractions, ticket holders will also be able to access an array of features, including the incredibly popular Home Energy Advice Team (H.E.A.T.) powered by Origin Energy, M1CRO MACH1NES for boards, bikes and scooters, the Family Fun Zone and the Electric Café.

The perennial favourite at all the Fully Charged LIVE shows worldwide are the 30+ ‘live sessions’ across 2 stages – the Giga Theatre (powered by Polestar) and the Mega Theatre (powered by Enphase Energy). Sessions will be hosted by Fully Charged presenters Robert Llewellyn, Jack Scarlett and Elliot Richards, plus Australian YouTubers Simone Annan (CarTell TV), Sam Evans (Electric Viking) and Rosemary Barnes (Engineering with Rosie).

Tonight, FullyChargedLive had a media-only event that also contained the event’s first announcement. MG, the brand responsible for the cheapest new EV in Australia announced the pricing for their newest EV, the MG4. The car has been available internationally for some time, but now it’s Australia’s time. Pricing remains a question, but we know it features an impressive 450km range, significantly higher than the MG ZS EV. The MG4 is due to go on sale in Australia next month.

Fully Charged Live Australia is the first of a number of events around the world, including the UK in April/May, Canada in September, USA in October and Europe in November.
