Today marks the start of ‘Holi’, an Indian celebration also known as the Festival of Colours, Festival of Spring, and Festival of Love.
Google is getting in the spirit this year with a Google Experiment that includes a digital puzzle you can play online for free, just by searching Holi on Google. The Puzzle link will be displayed in the information panel on the right.
There is also an easter egg on the page, with the red, blue and yellow triangle icons in the top right-hand corner, serving as an opportunity to throw colour at the search results, in the same way many colour festivals involve throwing coloured chalk into the air.
Thile it may not seem like much to some, I really enjoy Google’s efforts here, helping to expose the Indian culture to a larger audience across the globe.
If you do opt for the puzzle game, you’ll have a choice of colourful images and photos to choose from, along with a difficulty level (which translates to the number of pieces in the puzzle.
You can play on your own, or invite others to join you to help solve the puzzle together. If you’re on a desktop, the mouse works great, but if you’re on a touchscreen device, drag and drop works intuitively.
Nice work Google, love your work here.

For those who follow techAU for EV news, Tesla Raj, one of the early FSD Beta users, has celebrated ‘Holi’ in style with his Tesal Model 3.
