TCL confirms their monster 115″ Mini LED TV is coming to Australia

TCL has confirmed their largest display, the monster 115″ QD-Mini LED TV will be released outside of China and is coming to Australia and New Zealand later this year.

If you’re a fan of Linus Tech Tips, you’ll know Linus recently published a video (available below) on the TCL X11G Max and managed to unofficially get it out of China and to the US. His video, which has now been seen by 2.5 million people, in 10 days, highlighted the amazing immersiveness that a display of this size provides.

This display is the TCL 115″ X955 Max Premium QD-Mini LED TV and while the model number is different, the headline features of 20,000+ local dimming zones and a crazy 5,000 nits of brightness remain the same. Previously TCL had offered the display in 85″ and 98″ sizes and made the announcement as part of the CES 2024 show.

This display also features advanced backlight and processing technologies and high-zone local dimming. Notably, TCL’s pioneering X955 and C755 TV Series were the first in the world to be certified by TÜV Rheinland for their Realistic Visual Experience.

In addition, the company introduced the proprietary AiPQ ULTRA Processor, which brings best-in-class display quality with vibrant visuals on TVs through its strong AI capabilities for image analysis and multiple proprietary algorithms.

Naturally, displays of this size don’t come cheap, expect it to be more than the price of a small car, but for those who have the finances, this would be an incredible upgrade on the 75″ display on your wall today.

While there are other ways to achieve large displays on your wall (i.e. projectors), none offer the experience that a backlit display of this size provides. If I had the means, this would definitely be on my must-have list for the wall in our rumpus.

“TCL’s stand at this year’s coveted Consumer Electronics Show is arguably the best we’ve ever had.

The 1672-sqm space showcases our latest innovations across all categories and it’s clear from retailer feedback that they are excited for TCL’s future, especially with the impending arrival of its pioneering 115-inch QD-Mini LED TV.”
