Xbox Developers Direct: every game announced and release date

Xbox Developers Direct went live to the public last Friday. It was an early start for all the Australians, but an exciting way to start a Friday morning. This year, Xbox—with their partners—announced several new games and updates for highly anticipated games. Here’s everything they announced, along with when those games are coming.

    Avowed

Originally announced at Xbox’s 2021 Game Show, Avowed is coming to you from Obsidian Entertainment. It’s a role playing, first person fantasy game optimised for Xbox X|S. Set in the Living Lands on the world of Eora, Avowed comes from the Pillars of Eternity franchise.

The game dives into a mystical world of monsters, magic, and destiny. Players are excited to dive into the game. Avowed will be coming during American Fall this year. That means sometime between September and December 2024.

    Senua’s Saga Hellblade II

From Ninja Theory, comes the sequel to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Players are excited to continue Senua’s story. The game depicts a brutal journey of survival during the Viking tyranny era in Iceland. With stunning visuals and immersive sound, follow Senua’s battles.

You won’t have to wait long to continue the story, as Senua’s Saga Hellblade II releases on May 21, 2024 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Game Pass.

    Visions of Mana

A beautiful, colourful, Japanese game from the team at Square Enix comes Visions of Mana. Revealed during Xbox Developers Direct 2024, Visions of Mana is the first mainline title in the Mana series in over 15 years.

Embark on a journey through enchanting locations, and watch the blend of nature between nature and the elements. This semi-open 3D field is waiting for you to explore. Visions of Mana is releasing American Summer this year, which means sometime in the middle of 2024. The game will launch on all platforms simultaneously, including PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

    Ara History Untold

From Oxide Games, comes Ara History Untold. It’s a fully functioning real time simulation where you can build the empire you desire. With realistic features, historical content, and endless possibilities. There’s no set way to play or win Ara History Untold. You can run the world how you like. Similar to Visions of Mana, Ara will launch during America Fall 2024, which is the middle of this year.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

It’s time to revisit one of the most classic adventures in history – Indiana Jones. This brand a first-person, cinematic action-adventure game is coming to you from Bethesda Softworks and MachineGames, in partnership with Lucasfilm Games.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle™ is set between the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark™ and The Last Crusade™. Players take on the role of Indiana Jones, discovering and exploring the world and presumably uncovering secrets.

Whilst it was only announced during Xbox Developers Direct, you won’t have to wait long for Indy’s adventure. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle™ is slated to release sometime this year on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Game Pass.
