Nokia & Microsoft are holding an announcement in New York midnight our time (AEST) tomorrow (Wednesday night/Thursday morning) and you can view it live herehttp://www..nokia.com/global/about-nokia/webcast/live.
This will be the official launch of Windows Phone 8, despite Samsung showing off the first Windows Phone 8 device, the Ativ, last week at IFA in Europe. With Nokia being the premium Windows Phone partner for Microsoft it’s not surprising to see a joint launch for WP8.
Let’s hope the announcement is also paired with the release of the WP8 SDK. Developers are keen to get hands on with the new code and given the devices will ship soon, it doesn’t leave a lot of time.
