Last week at Computex in Taiwan, Ford held a discussion panel on the future of the automotive industry. On the panel was Ed Pleet, the Connected Services Director for Asia Pacific, Africa and Europe at Ford, Steven Bridgeland – Senior Marketing Communications Manager for Windows Embedded at Microsoft and 3 journalists from around the world, including myself.
I was a last minute addition to the panel, but was glad to be invited to talk on a topic I’m incredibly passionate about. Please take the time to watch and share the 37 minute video below.
After watching the video, leave a comment and let me know your thoughts on how the technology and the automotive technologies can best come together. This morning Apple announced iOS in the car, allowing developers to tap into the in-dash display of new vehicles by new Honda, Mercedes, Nissan, Chevy, Infinity, Kia, Hyundai, Volvo, Jaguar and more, this just ads another dimension to the space. Ultimately competition is a wonderful thing that will push the experiences forward and benefit consumers.
