Its that time of the year again when Apple talk to press developers about their upcoming products. On the agenda this year will be information about the next releases of OSX – Mountain Lion and iOS6 which is expected to arrive with the iPhone 5 around September.
If you’re reading this announcement and thinking of booking flights to San Francisco to see Apple CEO Tim Cook speak, don’t bother. The event is already sold out. Those attending the conference must be a paid member of the iOS Developer Program, Enterprise Program or Mac Developer Program and at least 13 years of age.
While the keynote is typically the biggest focus of the event, due to its product announcements, WWDC is as the name suggests, for developers. After the spotlight of the keynote is over, there’s real sessions to go to for developers to learn and network with other like minded individuals. Often at any tech conference, it’s the people that you meet that are the best part.
WWDC 2012 will be held at the Moscone West Center in San Francisco. If Apple fail to stream the event live again, it’ll be over-covered by the blogging community as usual.
