    Foxtel has a new Wi-Fi 6 router

If you get your internet through FOXTEL, then you’ll be interested to know that today the company has launched its next-generation router featuring the latest Wi-Fi 6
    technology.

Wi-Fi 6 is designed to better maintain Wi-Fi speeds across multiple devices for a range of needs including work and learning functionality in addition to access to over 20,000 hours of content on FOXTEL via iQ set-top boxes and seamless streaming capability across FOXTEL’s suite of apps including Prime Video and Netflix.

The design of the router is a modern curved exterior in a black finish, with a glossy black face that shows your status lights for connectivity up and downstream. The back of the router offers that magic WLAN point to ingest your NBN, while offering 3 Ethernet ports to hardwire connections throughout your home.

The new sleek modem has been designed to respond to the needs of the modern home, enabling users to not only stream Ultra HD content, but work and learn remotely at home too.

With this brand-new Wi-Fi 6 modem technology, and double the memory of the previous generation modem, FOXTEL has improved modem performance to help customers make the most of its extensive catalogue of streaming entertainment.

“We’re committed to bringing the best and most innovative technology solutions within the home, to our customers including the latest Wi-Fi 6 technology.”

We’re delighted to bring the new broadband modem to our customers, alongside our
partner, CommScope, to deliver a great Wi-Fi experience, so broadband customers can
keep watching all their favourite shows, sport and movies, along with all their home internet
needs from taking work calls to remote learning.”

Cameron Wheeler, Head of Broadband Product Management, FOXTEL

Customers who switch to FOXTEL Broadband from June 1 will receive the Wi-Fi 6 modem,
while existing Broadband customers can call 131 999 to discuss the upgrade options
    available.
