Here’s the long list of wheels supported in GRID

The latest racing title from Codemasters is GRID and those half-serious racers out there will be keen to learn what wheel and pedal setups are supported.

GRID doesn’t just support a wheel setup – it thrives on it. Throughout development, the developers say they’ve focused on making GRID fun, challenging and accessible for those using a wheel, pedals, or a full racing rig.

Similarly to DiRT Rally 2.0, GRID allows PC players to manually set up your peripherals through the in-game options for optimum performance.

Key integrations for this system include:

    • Up to 15 connected devices
    • Connect multiple instances of the same device
    • Each connected device configuration is saved with a rolling history of 15 devices
    • Each device is heavily configurable via provided XML files and in game menus
    • Common devices are known in a pre-defined device_defines.xml, fixing common issues with drivers and pre-configuring device settings
    • Multiple action maps per device supported to allow for rim-swapping
    • Unknown devices can be configured via in-game menus

On PC, community feedback has seen improved support for the majority of devices to be added/configured via the in-game menus without the need to hand-edit XML files. This includes selecting the device type, forcing force feedback on/off, multi-binding different axis to the same actions and calibrating.

There’s also made further improvements to this system, including:

    • Simplified menu layout – consolidating information into one screen (Device Management)
    • Displaying all devices recognised or disconnected, so you can detect faults/issues
    • Ability to edit deadzone saturation for dynamic axis, such as using an analog handbrake
    • Improved calibration description and information

For all platforms, here’s a handy list of peripherals that you’ll be able to play with in GRID straight away, after minimum calibration:
