Hyundai IONIQ 6 is available to order, but you better be fast if you want one

The Hyundai IONIQ 6 is available to order, but if you want one, you better be quick. One of the major challenges with electric vehicles in Australia is the limited supply of units made available in our country, with at times as few as just 500 in a order batch, these tend to sell out in minutes.

The car is available in 3 specs, the rear-wheel drive Dynamic, which starts at A$79,468.30 driveway (VIC) and offers a rated range of up to 614km.

The Techniq offers and AWD power train when front and rear electric motors, featuring increased power output of 239kW.

The top of the line is the Epiq starts from A$94,501.70 driveway.

In Hyndai’s configurator, you can select from a range of charging options, along with accessories including a Tow bar Kit (A$1,590) a 2 bike carrier (A$929).

Hyundai offers the choice to pre-pay for a service plan, with the 3 year, up to 45,000km option priced at $660, while the 5 year, up to 75,000km option costs $1,684.

If you do chose to order today you’ll need to pay a $2,000 deposit to secure your order. You will be asked where to pick up the car from a dealer. As someone in a regional Victorian location, I will note they only offer Melbourne-based pickup locations and no home-delivery option.

Hyundai customers that registered their interest in the IONIQ6 have received emails to notify them the company has new stock available.
