Some of YouTube now costs money

YouTube is part of all our lives and most people love it. What’s not to like, it’s entertaining and informative videos available for free. Well that’s just changed. Some, let me stress on some, YouTube channels can now charge for users to view their content.

Google say YouTube creators have been asking for "more flexibility in monetizing and distributing content." With more than 50 paid channels available at launch, Aussie’s won’t have rights to access all of them. The pricing ranges from 99 cents to $14.99 a month, with some offering yearly subscriptions at a discount. All of the paid channels offer a free 14 day trial period.

How do you feel about YouTube’s paid offerings? Is this something you’d hand over your hard earned cash for?
