Known for their cut-prices, Australian technology vendor Kogan has just announced a new 42-inch Agora Smart 3D LED TV that runs on Android’s 4.2 Jellybean platform for an introductory price of $449.
Of course, being a $449 TV it’s bound to skimp on some things compared to the lastest and greatest from other brands, for example, it is around 10 times thicker than Samsung’s flagship LED TV, but it is also about $9500 cheaper. It does boast a Full HD (1080p) LED panel and is a cheap way to give Google TV a go, though.
Other specs include:
Supported USB Media Types – MKV, MP4, H.264, MPEG2, MPEG4, JPEG, PNG, BMP, MP3, WMA, MPG
Built-in PVR functionality
3D ready (includes two 3D glasses)
Wi-Fi connectivity
3x USB Ports (including one USB 3.0 port)
3x HDMI Ports
60Hz refresh rate
If you’re in the market and don’t mind buying a TV without checking it first, head to Kogan to pre-order your new Android TV now.
