LG’s 2025 OLED evo lineup offers AI personalization with Microsoft Copilot

CES is just kicking off and LG is definitely joining the train of AI-related announcements with it’s latest OLED TV unveil.

LG Electronics has announced its 2025 OLED evo TV lineup, featuring the world’s first true wireless OLED evo M5 and OLED evo G5 models.

With every new generation, it’s a safe bet the blacks get blacker, the brightness gets brighter, the colours get more vibrant but that’s expected at this point.

It seems even in 2025, we’re still not ready to make the leap to 8K resolution, instead, the big feature this year is the hot topic – Artificial Intelligence.

This presents itself in a range of ways with AI spanning multiple disciplines. In LG’s implementation, they are leveraging AI to customise TV experience (running WebOS).

    AI personalization

The user experience is further elevated with a personalised journey that begins the moment the TV is powered on, courtesy of the AI Remote.

AI Welcome greets users by name and provides tailored recommendations based on their preferences and viewing habits, while AI Voice ID adds convenience by recognising individual voices, automatically switching profiles, and delivering content suggestions that match personal tastes.

Finding content on the  newest LG OLED evo TVs has never been easier, with AI Search6 leveraging a Large Language Model to understand conversational context and uncover subtle user intentions.

Access to Microsoft Copilot further streamlines the process, allowing users to efficiently find and organise information using contextual cues.

For an even smoother and more engaging experience, the AI Chatbot proactively identifies potential user challenges and offers timely, effective solutions.

What’s more, the Generative Image Gallery allows users to create custom backgrounds using voice commands, adding a personal and creative touch to the viewing experience. Unfortunately, we understand the Generative Image Gallery feature only available in Korean and US market.

    Other features include:

    • Brightness Booster Ultimate Technology: The new OLED evo TVs boast enhanced brightness, up to three times higher than conventional OLED models, thanks to improved light control architecture and light-boosting algorithms.
    • Perfect Black and Perfect Colour: The 2025 OLED evo TVs deliver deep blacks, accurate colours, and stable performance, verified by UL Solutions and Intertek.
    • Filmmaker Mode® with Ambient Light Compensation: This feature adjusts picture settings based on ambient lighting to maintain the filmmaker’s original intent.
    • Gaming Features: LG OLED evo TVs support 4K 165Hz Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), certified by NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium, ensuring smooth gameplay.
    • Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen2: This processor enhances picture and sound quality using deep learning algorithms.
    • AI-Powered Personalization: The TVs offer AI Picture/Sound Wizard, AI Remote, AI Welcome, AI Voice ID, AI Search, and AI Chatbot for a personalized user experience.
    • webOS Interface and Home Hub: The webOS interface provides a personalized experience, and the Home Hub seamlessly connects with multiple ecosystems for smart home control.
    • Wireless Audio and Video Transmission: The LG M5 series offers wireless audio and video transmission at up to 144Hz without latency or loss in picture and sound quality.
