Long Term Drop Test Review: Zagg Crystal Palace (Polycarbonate D30 Case) vs Google Pixel (Silicone Case)

Long term reviews of phone cases are rare. I thought I’d write one because I am very impressed with the Zagg Crystal Palace drop proof tough phone case I’ve been using for almost a year. In comparison the initial case I used lasted less than 2 months.

For a lot of people smart phone cases are mostly about fashion. Phone owners usually choose a case that has a colour, pattern or image on it that they like the look of.

I prefer a phone case that is made from tough material because at least once a month I drop my phone or it slips out of my pocket during day to day tasks.

When I first got my Pixel 8 Pro phone I used a Bay Blue official Google Pixel 8 Pro Case. Unfortunately after less than 2 months of use it cracked at the bottom corners.

In comparison the Zagg Crystal Palace case I’ve used since then has protected my phone from many drops while showing no damage at all and still looking perfectly clear with no yellowing as you can see in the photo below.

The secret behind why this Zagg case made sure my phone has no cracks or damage at all after so many drops is D3O Crystalex.

PS D30 are the inventors of some amazing impact proof technology which you can see examples of in the video below.
