I’ve owned a Dell Inspiron 6400 for more than 12 months now. I’m really happy with it, but it’s old technology, the current models are 1520 and 1525. Well they’re about to be replaced by an even slicker design the 1435, 1535 and 1735 models. As the prefix suggests these are the 14, 15 and 17″ (widescreen) models.
A couple of exciting features about the new models is that they’ll feature a screen that’s flush with the bezel, similar to the new trend amongst HDTV’s. Also the new series allow consumers to option up to a blu-ray drive. Althought the physical media is still insanely expensive (AU $25 per disc) it’s a great to let the consumers decide if they want the new format.
The new models will be released from later this month till October in the US, no word on an Australian release, let’s hope it’s soon.
