    PAX AUS: big tech down under

    We’re less than a month away from welcoming gamers to the biggest gaming convention in Australia. PAX Australia will be held at the Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre October 11-13, 2024. The full list of exhibitors has been released and here’s what you can expect over three days of gaming madness.

    Tech companies exhibiting at PAX Australia

    Gaming is at the forefront of technology. Production studios are pushing the boundaries of technology whilst manufactures are creating new ways for people to experience immersive gaming. Some of the world’s biggest tech companies are coming to Melbourne for PAX Australia. See and get hands on the highest quality video editing products and cameras from Black Magic Design. LG Electronics has a tonne of gaming solutions, monitors, and televisions which fans are sure to experience in person.

    If you’re looking to upgrade your gaming rig or see the latest peripherals and accessories PAX Aus is the right place. Activations from Aftershock PC, ACCO Brands, Cooler Master, Keychron, MSI, Republic of Gamers, Secret Labs, Centre Com, Bluemouth Interactive, Samsung, and Umart Online will be available for ticket holders. This is where I get my yearly tech fix, and find the latest innovations in the industry.

    Want a career in games?

    See what a career in gaming looks like with Academy of Interactive Entertainment, JMC Academy, Swinburne University of Technology, and Holmesglen Institute of TAFE. Many of these institutions also offer many computing and IT courses. If this is something you, or your kids are interested in, definitely head on down to PAX Aus and chat to the friendly teams.

    Play games and purchase merchandise

    We talked about which game studios were confirmed at PAX Aus in our last post. Don’t forget you can play the latest games from Bethesda, SEGA, Square Enix, The Sims, Activision Blizzard, Ubisoft, Microsoft, and lots of Indie developers from Australia and New Zealand. Steam will be in the house this year, and you can bet there will be lots of fun games to play. I’m also looking forward to board and card games like Exploding Kittens, Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, Star Wars Unlimited.

    Make sure you’ve given yourself a budget to work with, since some of the best gear will be available to purchase. You can get all your gaming, artistic, pop culture clothing and merchandise from Black Milk Clothing, Disney Store, Good Games, Mind Games, Crunchyroll, Level up Dice, Lumin’s Workshop, and many local and national artists.

    If you’ve already got your ticket, we’re looking forward to seeing you there. If you haven’t secured your ticket, don’t delay. Three day badges and Saturday badges are completely sold out.
