This weekend, the Formula One Championship heads to a brand new circuit on the calendar, Miami.
Miami’s Grand Prix circuit is set around the Hard Rock Stadium, home of NFL’s Miami Dolphins, and will include three DRS zones plus an estimated top speed of 320km/h as drivers gear up to take on the fifth round of the 2022 Formula 1 World Championship.
Given this will be the first time Formula One cars will race Miami International Autodrome, and the circuit has been worked on right till the last moment, we’ve not seen an on-board lap of the track.
Thanks to the wonders of racing simulation, the crafty racers over at Codemasters have put together a showcase from their upcoming F1 22 game.
The on-board Hot Lap of the new street circuit will feature the Ferrari cover star Charles Leclerc, racing the F1-75.
F1 22 is set for release on July 1, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via the EA App, Origin, Steam, and Epic Games Store. Pre-orders are also open now.
If you haven’t already watched the race preview video released yesterday, then check out the video below. As someone who has driven the Formula 1 games almost every year, this really looks to be one of the biggest upgrade to date.
There are new tracks, there’s new cars, new rules and much, much more. July 1st can’t come soon enough for sim racing fans.
