Forza Motorsport 6 shipped with the Ford GT as the cover car, but this week, driving fans got a very nice surprise gift from Turn10 Studios, a free, Ford GT Le Mans spec. While the production version of the car is stunning, the GT LM version is ridiculous with many upgrades including a massive wing, rear diffuser and performance that takes what was already a supercar and made it even better.
Inside the cockpit, you’ll find everything but the bare essentials removed from the cockpit and a substantially upgraded race-spec steering wheel (complete with a drink button).
The LM livery certainly stands out in stark contrast to the polished blue of the cover car, but its the performance and handling changes that are the true story here. Naturally I jumped into the racing sim to get behind the wheel of the Ford GT LM in Forza 6 and fired up one of the hardest tracks on the planet, Australia’s very own, Bathurst (Mount Panorama).
