This morning in Sydney, David Cain, General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Logic3, demonstrated their latest luxury audio collection. Embracing the famous Ferrari branding, the new audio collection encompasses two main lines.

Before we get to that, the Ferrari by Logic3 branding is actually a very interesting story. As you’d expect, Ferrari are very protective of their iconic brand, and would only allow their logos to be placed on products with superior quality. While today was an opportunity for a hands-on, we’ll be reviewing some of these products to see how well the story matches with reality. The products, in particular the Cavallino collection, take their design cues form elements of the cars, so this isn’t simply the logo stuck on the side of the product.

It is great to hear that the Ferrari team has been involved in every step of the development of these products. The final fit and finish of the devices is outstanding as you’d expect from a premium product that attracts a premium price.

The Ferrari Cavallino Collection
This line reflects the power and performance of Ferrari’s GT road cars. Using high quality materials and careful craftsmanship, the Cavallino headphones and earbuds are aimed predominantly at the male market. Big bold statements like the famous yellow logo stamped on red and black surroundings with touches of carbon fibre and chrome surrounds make this audio gear demand your attention.

The Scuderia Ferrari Collection
This line takes on a softer, more approachable design, something that every F1 fan can get on-board with. While females definitely can buy either, the tanned leather and more subtle prancing horse stuck to the side are more enticing for the audio-loving lady in your life.

Ferrari also have a premium speaker dock similar to SONOS, but with one additional feature. There’s a version that contains AirPlay functionality, meaning that music can be sent wirelessly from your iOS device to the speaker. It also supports Bluetooth audio streaming.
